ABOUT

Hi! I'm Ariana.

I am a Mindfulness Coach and Workplace Trainer, and I'm on a mission to guide professionals to better their work-life integration and to help organizations improve employee well-being.

My journey has been anything but linear. As a multi-passionate person, I've followed my love of teaching across various fields, embracing a 'how hard can it be?' attitude. My journey has taken me through roles in human services, sales, pharmaceuticals, recruiting, victim services, disaster response, and human resources - to name a few.

In the midst of these seemingly unrelated experiences, I found clarity and inspiration that culminated in the creation of Mindfully Ari.

My diverse career has allowed me to witness both the challenges and opportunities professionals encounter in today's ever-evolving job market. These experiences made me realize the undeniable connection between workplace culture, employee well-being, and overall success.

MY STORY

I definitely took the scenic route to become a mindfulness coach. I was never someone who had a clear career path in mind, but I always had a desire to make a positive impact on the world and help people in a meaningful way. When I started working when I turned sixteen, I held various jobs throughout high school and college, often working two jobs at any given time. Little did I know that these early experiences would lay the foundation for Mindfully Ari.

My time in retail sales taught me the invaluable art of connecting with people and understanding their needs, while my stint in a bustling kitchen honed my ability to multitask and thickened my skin in the face of adversity. I was a sponge, eager to learn from every environment and every person I encountered. Over the years, I started landing jobs that, on paper, I may not have been qualified for, but my diverse skill set and adaptability allowed me to thrive.

Through this journey, I gained insights into various leadership styles, organizational cultures, and the multitude of challenges that workplaces can present. Some of my work experiences were nothing short of nightmarish, marked by inadequate leadership, blurred boundaries, poor communication, and a male-dominant atmosphere that ultimately pushed me to burnout. It was in this moment that I needed to make a change, and turned to Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction to change my mindset.

Mindfulness became my sanctuary, a path to reevaluating my work-life balance, and a tool for personal transformation. It was a revelation that transformed my life and reframed how I saw the world around me. I realized that I wanted to share this experience with others and help them find their own balance and well-being.

Today, I use mindfulness not just as a personal practice but as a guiding principle in my career. I am committed to helping individuals and organizations navigate the complex world of work while keeping employee well-being at the forefront. My professional journey has been a winding road, but it has led me to a place where I can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those I work with, and for that, I am eternally grateful.

The Important Stuff

Mindfulness is a comprehensive approach that can be applied to various settings and tailored to different lifestyles. As a Certified Workplace Mindfulness Facilitator, I educate people on the principles of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), a secular and evidence-based practice that has been shown to alleviate a range of physical and mental health issues. MBSR can be practiced individually or in groups, and it can promote well-being and team cohesion.

Coaching is an invaluable tool to help individuals achieve what they truly want in life. Together we will identify your goals, break down your barriers, and manifest the life you dream about. During my coaching sessions you are the driver and I'll help you navigate from the passenger seat. My trauma-informed approach gives my clients agency over their goals and how they want to achieve them and I will help you get there.

If you want to become an asset in any environment, all you need to do is learn from the people around you. Group work is an essential part of personal and professional development, and it does wonders for strengthening teams and building capabilities. It is through group work that organizational cultures shift, new ideas emerge, and allows teams to be more sustainable. My approach is to facilitate dialogues and activities that foster growth.

Fun Facts

Here are a few fun facts about me I live in Austin, TX but I'm a typical Northerner from Massachusetts. Because of this, I love the fall weather and everything that comes with it. I'm also a certified beach bum...or I would be if there was such a thing. My first teaching role was as a piano teacher when I was sixteen and I was the youngest instructor at the company. Teaching has followed me everywhere since. I love to read, cook, host gatherings, and rarely turn down brunch. You can often find me working remote at a coffee shop. My circle consists of quality people who laugh and cry with me, who know when to indulge my delusions and when to serve me a reality check. They are my favorite people. I live with my loving husband and spoiled doggo, Tony.
